So, why not take a step of faith and join us this Sunday evening? After all, what's the worst that can happen?
...'cos you gotta have faith...
When it comes to the bigger questions of life—"Who am I?", "Why am I here?", and "What's going to happen to me when I die?"—everybody is trusting in something. Whether you think you're the product of chance, God, or some kind of unseen force; whether you think death is the end of the road or the start of something else; or whether you're trying not to think about it and just hoping that things will turn out OK, you are putting your faith in something. The question you need to ask yourself is whether it is a worthy object of your trust. Have you given serious thought to why you believe what you believe, or are you just blindly hoping that things will turn out OK?
When it comes to the question of where we will spend eternity, misplaced faith is a disaster. A bogus ticket for heaven cannot be refunded at its doors. Nor can a bogus belief about the finality of death be recanted on once it has proven false. When it comes to our ultimate destiny, one man's opinions—be they a pub-owner, a pastor, a priest or a professors—are worthless. It is God who has the final say. We need to hear from him, by reading his word&mash;the scriptures. Want to find out more?. We hope so.
