What We Believe

What We Believe

At Collier Row Gospel Hall, we believe in the fundamental principles of Christianity as taught in the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the ultimate source of truth and guidance for our lives.

Salvation

Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is at the core of our beliefs. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He came to earth to die for our sins and to provide a way for us to be reconciled with God. We believe that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, and that it can only be received through faith in Jesus Christ. The Word of God teaches us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So we all need salvation from sin and it by grace through faith in Lord Jesus Christ.

Baptism

We believe in the importance of believer’s baptism as a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that baptism is a symbolic representation of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that it is an important step in the life of a Christian.

good news

We believe in the importance of sharing the Gospel with the world. We believe that God has called us to be His witnesses, and we seek to share the message of salvation with those around us.

christian living

At Collier Row Gospel Hall, we believe that our faith in Jesus Christ should impact every aspect of our lives. We seek to live out our faith in practical ways, by serving others, showing love and compassion, and sharing the message of salvation with those around us. We believe in the power of prayer, and we regularly pray for our community, our country, and the world.

breaking of bread

Every first day of the week, born again and baptised believers gather together to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ by partaking in bread and wine, which symbolize his body and blood. We do this in obedience to the instructions of our Lord Jesus Christ, to remember Him this way until He comes again.
